Compass Academy is a non-profit early childhood education program that prioritizes the health and wellbeing of children as they learn life skills and academics through the lens of real life experiences in their most natural environment – a homestead.
Creating a new kind of learning model is hard work, and expensive in the beginning. Our community of families and students is growing rapidly, and we want to partner with aligned companies who support our mission and would benefit from gaining brand visibility within our large community of like-minded parents who value local living, a strong work ethic, and a healthy lifestyle for their children and families.
The bonus to partnering with us financially – all donations to our program are 100% tax-deductible.
Purpose: Funds from these sponsors will support Compass Academy with the continued development of an edible learning garden that both teaches and feeds the kids in our program, and support local pollinators. We are in constant need of funds for more seeds, soil, gardening tools, irrigation supplies, lesson supplies and garden maintenance.

Purpose: Funds from these sponsors will support Compass Academy in providing a wifi-free learning space through:
1. Funding of non-digital learning materials
2. Funding infrastructure for wired devices, and shielding devices for classroom use as available
3. Support the development of a mini curriculum to teach kids about safe tech use

Purpose: Funds from these sponsors will support a kitchen classroom that not only teaches kids how to cook for and feed themselves nourishing meals, but will support the growth of our kitchen nutrition curriculum and teaching supplies.

Purpose: Donations from these sponsors will support the continued development and improvement of our outdoor classroom spaces including our reading garden, our heated porch classroom, and our picnic arts and crafts area.

Purpose: For any company who would like to support our vision, but cannot commit to a financial sponsorship at this time, we are happy to accept in-kind donations that further our goal of serving our community of families. We are always looking for local gift certificates and aligned products or services to raffle at our fundraising events, or to support the growth and education of the students in our homeschool cooperative.

Our foundation supports the creation of employment and volunteer opportunities, childcare, and wellness education for Crozet and the surrounding communities.
We are dedicated to improving the health of the land we occupy through responsible land stewardship including native plantings, composting, responsible water management, creating wildlife habitats, and more.
We are holding a vision for improved childhood education so that our youth have a stronger foundation for thriving in our turbulent world.
Our campus serves as a site for animal adoptions and rescues. We have adopted goats and kittens, rescued abandoned calves, nursed a carrier pigeon back to health, and are open to other animal adoptions and rescues!
When families have good physical and mental health, communities are happier and economies are stronger. Our programs support wellbeing by providing education and support around naturally healthy living.
